Class Instructor & Athlete Development Coach

Part-Time  |  Reports to: All-Star Director

Position Summary

At HEAT All-Stars, every athlete deserves exceptional coaching — whether they’re taking their very first class or training for elite competition. As a Class Instructor, you’ll create a safe, energetic learning environment where athletes build confidence, master fundamentals, and develop a lifelong love for the sport, all in line with our values of Integrity, Commitment, and Effort.

What You’ll Do

• Lead weekly tumbling, cheer, flexibility, strength, and specialty classes following the HEAT curriculum.
• Teach proper technique with an emphasis on fundamentals, body awareness, and safety.
• Give individualized instruction and constructive feedback to athletes at every level.
• Keep classes fun, structured, and high-energy.
• Track progress and communicate milestones with families when appropriate.
• Arrive prepared with lesson plans and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, professional training environment.
• Represent HEAT All-Stars with professionalism inside and outside the gym.

• Understanding of proper skill progressions and athlete safety.
• Dependability, organization, and punctuality.
• A willingness to keep learning and improving as a coach.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cheerleading, gymnastics, tumbling, dance, or related coaching experience.
• Experience teaching youth classes.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Knowledge of USASF skill progressions and safety guidelines.
• Evening and weekend availability.
